1/72 Spitfire Mk.Vb late OVERTREES
Eduard 1/72 Spitfire Mk.Vb late OVERTREES is a plastic kit of the late version of the British Mk.Vb fighter. The edition contains plastic sprues only, without decals or instructions. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.
The Spitfire Mk.Vb served with RAF fighter squadrons from 1941 and went through many small changes during production. A typical feature of late aircraft is the armour glass built into the windscreen in place of the earlier external panel. Armament consisted of two 20 mm Hispano cannon and four .303 in machine guns in the ‘b’ wing.
The OVERTREES edition offers only the plastic sprues of the Eduard kit – decals, instructions, photo-etch and masks are not included. Eduard sells it as an affordable variant for a limited time. It suits modellers with their own decals or those completing a line of Spitfire Mk.Vs.
In 1/72 scale the late Mk.Vb sits well beside the early and mid versions to show how the type evolved. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.
