The Supermarine Spitfire Tr.8 was a post-war two-seat modification of the famous British fighter aircraft, designed primarily for pilot training in the air forces of Ireland and India. The Tr.8 version was a conversion of the standard Mk.VIII Spitfires, with the cockpit moved forward and a second cockpit for the instructor added. Thanks to the retention of the Merlin engine, the aircraft has retained its excellent flight characteristics and is now popular for adventure flying.
The AZ Model 1/72 Spitfire Tr.8 Premium Edition kit offers a detailed 1/72nd scale design. Included are spray masks for the undercarriage wheels, a cockpit faceplate and both overlays. Decals for three different camouflage options are also included. The model is suitable for more experienced modellers and can be used for both display cases and dioramas with a post-war theme.
The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
