1/72 TBM-3W Guppy

The Sword TBM-3W Guppy is a 1/72-scale plastic model kit designed to be assembled and painted.

The TBM-3W Guppy is a distinctive radar variant of the Avenger featuring a massive belly fairing. The model offers an unusual postwar naval theme and many options for interesting paint schemes.

This reissue offers five markings: US Navy, JSDAF, Holland, RCAF, and France.

Building Recommendations

• Before gluing, we recommend dry-fitting the parts and checking the geometry of the wings, tail surfaces, and landing gear.
• It is advisable to prepare the cockpit, canopies, landing gear bays, and antennas as separate subassemblies.
• For a clean finish, use primer, thin layers of model paints, decal solution, and a final coat of clear coat according to your chosen color scheme.

Model adhesives, fillers, sanding materials, primers, model paints, and decal solutions are suitable for this build. Paints and adhesive are not included in the kit unless otherwise specified.
