1/72 Type 89 Kou (Late) and Type 95 Ha-Go Japanese Tanks
IBG 1/72 Type 89 Kou (Late) and Type 95 Ha-Go is a pair of WWII Japanese tanks in 1/72 scale. The kit allows you to build two important machines that formed the backbone of the Japanese armoured forces in the Asia-Pacific.
The Japanese Type 89 Kou was Japan's first mass-produced medium tank and became the basic armament of Imperial armoured units from the mid-1930s. The Late version included armour and armament modifications and was deployed in combat in China and early in World War II.
The Type 95 Ha-Go light tank, developed in the late 1930s, was one of the most widely used Japanese armoured vehicles. Due to its simplicity and mobility, it was used en masse in China, Malaya, the Philippines, and other areas of the Pacific. Although it had poor armour and armament, it was the main type of light tank of the Japanese army until the end of the war.
The 1/72 scale IBG kit offers the opportunity to build both of these machines in one package. It includes detailed parts that faithfully capture the distinctive shapes of both tanks, and is an ideal complement for dioramas depicting the fighting in the Asia-Pacific. Its compact scale makes it suitable for both experienced modelers and collectors focused on Japanese equipment.
The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
