1/72 VSO-10B "Vosa"
KPM 1/72 VSO-10B "Wasp" is a plastic kit of Czechoslovak single-seat performance glider in 1/72 scale. This type, developed in 70. It was one of the most widespread gliders of its class and became a popular machine for sport and training flying in aeroclubs. The kit shows the elegant silhouette of the Vosa with detailed fuselage, wings and cabin.
The VSO-10 "Vosa" was designed in the late 1960s at the Research and Testing Institute in Vysoké Mýto as a successor to the VT-116 Orlik and Blaník gliders. The first prototype flew in 1972 and serial production was carried out at Orličan Choceň. The construction was all-metal, with a fiberglass nose, and the glider was characterized by very good flight characteristics, which allowed both sport competition flights and normal pilot training.
The VSO-10B version was an upgraded version with an improved cockpit and improved aerodynamics. The "Vosy" served in aeroclubs throughout Czechoslovakia and abroad and are still flying as popular sport gliders today. Thanks to their reliable performance and easy maintenance, they became a symbol of the Czechoslovak design school of the 1970s.
The 1/72 scale KPM kit offers a faithfully crafted model of the VSO-10B glider with fine surface details, realistic cabin and accurate proportions. The model is ideal for anyone interested in Czechoslovak sport aircraft and gliders and is an attractive addition to a civil aviation collection.
The package does not include paint or glue needed for assembly.
