The Zlin Z-43 was developed at the Moravan Otrokovice plant in the late 1960s as a four-seat light aircraft derived from the popular Trener series. The machine was based on the two-seater Z-42, but thanks to a more spacious cabin with four seats it found application not only in aero clubs, but also in the civilian sphere. The Z-43 was intended for training, tourist and sport flying, aerotaxi and smaller transport tasks.
The aircraft was equipped with the Walter Minor M-III engine and the avionics system was later upgraded. Thanks to its simple design and reliable characteristics, the Z-43 became widespread not only in Czechoslovakia but also abroad. Several machines are still flying in aero clubs or private operators.
KPM's 1/72nd scale kit in the KPH edition offers a detailed treatment of this light aircraft and in the package includes decals, paint masks and 3D printed parts to make the build easier and increase the final level of detail. This model is ideal for anyone interested in Czechoslovak post-war aviation and civilian machines.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
