1/87 MB T-80 rekordwagen resin constr. kit of german record car
Hauler HLR87201 is a resin kit of the Mercedes-Benz T80 record car in 1/87 (H0) scale. The streamlined six-wheeler was built for an attempt on the world land speed record.
The Mercedes-Benz T80 was built in the late 1930s to a design by Ferdinand Porsche for an attempt on the absolute land speed record. Its long body with six wheels and stabilising fins housed a Daimler-Benz aero engine. The outbreak of war meant the record run never took place, and the car survives as a museum exhibit.
The Hauler HLR87201 kit reproduces the T80 in resin in the railway scale of 1/87 (H0). It suits a car collection as well as serving as an eye-catching load on a model railway flat wagon.
The smooth body shows off the silver metallic finish the manufacturer presents on the built model.
Nationality: Germany. Period: Interwar period.
Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
