The Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero Type 21 was the main deck fighter of the Japanese Imperial Navy at the beginning of World War II. Its lightweight design, exceptional maneuverability and long range made it a dominant force in the Pacific theater of war, especially during the attack on Pearl Harbor and subsequent operations in 1942.
