Academy presents the Lockheed F-117A Nighthawk plastic kit in 1:72 scale, a single-seat USAF attack aircraft that became one of the best-known early operational low-observable designs. The first flight took place in 1981, the type entered service in 1983, its existence was officially acknowledged in 1988, and it was shown to the public in April 1990.

The F-117A was developed for precision strike missions with reduced detectability. Its sharply faceted geometry made it instantly recognisable, while its weapons were carried in two internal bomb bays rather than on external pylons. The aircraft became especially well known through its combat use in the Gulf War and later operations over the Balkans.

Inside the box are plastic parts, decals and instructions. The finished model is 278 mm long with a wingspan of 183 mm. Glue, paints and brushes are not included.
