AK 3GEN Effects Chipping Effect - Effects (17 ml)

AK Interactive AK 3GEN Effects Chipping Effect is a specialized acrylic for modelers who want to achieve a realistic look of wear, scuffs and chipped paint on their kits. The product works on the principle of interlayer activation - it is applied between the base and top coats of paint and activated with water when dry, allowing parts of the top coat to be removed in a controlled manner to reveal the undercoat. The result is the natural damage effects that occur on real military and civilian equipment in service.

The product is odorless and can be applied with both brush and airbrush, giving the modeler freedom to scale the area and desired effect. Once the top coat of paint has dried, the area is dampened with water and a brush or sharp tool is used to gently remove the desired areas of paint - creating realistic scratches, edge scuffs, wear around hatches or paint cracking. The technique is particularly suitable for military equipment, aircraft, ships and historic vehicles where natural wear and tear greatly enhances the authenticity of the model.
