AK Tools Scriber STAINLESS STEEL 57 HRC is a precision scribing needle designed for modelers who need a reliable tool for panel line work. Made of hardened 57 HRC stainless steel, it combines corrosion resistance with the long-lasting ability to maintain tip sharpness. This material hardness ensures that the tool can withstand repeated use on harder surfaces without significant wear.

The tip has a special shape optimized for guiding along a ruler or masking, making it easy to create straight, consistent lines. The tool works on the principle of light pressure - when guided across a surface, it creates a shallow groove that mimics panel joints, rivets or construction details. It works reliably with resin, PVC, polystyrene and softer woods, materials commonly used in modelling.

Practical applications include two main directions: the creation of new details where the master does not have sufficiently pronounced paneling, and the restoration of lines that have been removed or weakened during sanding, finishing or cleaning. For accurate work, it is recommended to use a metal ruler with elasticity or hard plastic tape as a guide - this will prevent slipping and ensure an even line.

The tool requires no special maintenance other than occasional cleaning and keeping dry. Stainless steel minimises the risk of corrosion even with prolonged storage.
