The tip has a special shape optimized for guiding along a ruler or masking, making it easy to create straight, consistent lines. The tool works on the principle of light pressure - when guided across a surface, it creates a shallow groove that mimics panel joints, rivets or construction details. It works reliably with resin, PVC, polystyrene and softer woods, materials commonly used in modelling.
Practical applications include two main directions: the creation of new details where the master does not have sufficiently pronounced paneling, and the restoration of lines that have been removed or weakened during sanding, finishing or cleaning.
