AK-Interactive Shadow Soil (AK1219) offers a visually specific effect of pale grey, mineral soil. This shade evokes lunar landscapes, dead planets, limestone quarries, or areas where the ground is depleted and composed mostly of crushed quartz and limestone.

With its neutral, cool color, this texture makes an excellent base for any color camouflage on your figures. Dark or richly coloured models will stand out particularly well on this texture, which will gain contrast against the grey base. It's the perfect choice for depicting the battlefields of a sci-fi universe, the inhospitable mountains of the fantasy genre or post-apocalyptic wastelands.

• Other finishes: the pale grey surface is a great base for the drybrush technique. Using pure white paint on the edges will bring out the crystalline texture of the minerals, while dark washes in the depressions will add the necessary depth to the terrain.

• Combination: the texture can be complemented perfectly with white tufts of grass (Winter Tufts) for a frosty look, or black slate stones for a dramatic contrast.

Important note: The package does not contain paint or glue. Plain water is sufficient to clean tools after working with this acrylic texture.
