Bf 110F 1/72

From the beginning, the Messerschmitt Bf 110 was designed as a heavy fighter - the so-called Zerstörer (destroyer) - capable of escorting bombers over long distances and of asserting itself in direct air combat. The F variant, introduced into service in early 1942, represented a performance advance over earlier versions thanks to more powerful Daimler-Benz DB 601F engines with higher power at higher altitudes. The Bf 110F served primarily on the Eastern Front, where it found use in escort, reconnaissance and attack missions, and to a lesser extent in the defence of the Reich. Although the experience of the Battle of Britain revealed the limitations of this type in combat with more agile single-engine fighters, on less demanding battlefields and in roles where range and armament were critical, the Bf 110 held its ground until the arrival of the more powerful Me 410.

Included are pre-printed photo-etched parts - typically including cockpit details, instrument panel and minor exterior features - that significantly reduce preparation time while enhancing the final quality of the model. The included cockpit glazing masks facilitate clean painting of transparent parts. Five decal options offer a choice of different units and color schemes, allowing the modeler to select a specific machine based on historical interest or artistic preference. The package does not include paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
