HMS Ajax was a British Leander-class light cruiser, first launched in March 1934. It was a ship with a distinguished career. Perhaps its most famous action took place at the start of World War II, when it engaged the German pocket battleship Admiral Graf Spee in the South Atlantic, leading to the sinking of the powerful Kriegsmarine surface cruiser.
