The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-11 and D-13 represented the pinnacle of development of the Fw 190 fighter series, deployed by the Luftwaffe in the final months of World War II. These variants, equipped with the powerful Jumo 213 engine with an extended nose, were designed to fight high-altitude Allied fighters and to defend the Reich from air raids. The D-11 version was armed with four guns, while the D-13 had a powerful MG 151/20 gun installed in the back of the fuselage. Both variants were produced in limited numbers and served mostly in elite units such as JV 44.
The Eduard Fw 190D-11/D-13 kit in 1/48 scale is part of the DUAL COMBO edition and allows to build two models - one for each version. Includes detailed Eduard plastic parts, color etched parts, pre-cut masks and decals for eight camouflage schemes. The models faithfully capture the differences between versions and are suitable for experienced modellers and fans of late Luftwaffe types.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
