From the very first days of powered flight, airplanes and the fearless people who fly them have captured the imagination of the entire world. Of the many types of aircraft that have taken to the skies, the Supermarine Spitfire reigned supreme for many years. However, thanks to the latest advances in modern technology, there has been a huge leap in the combat capabilities of single-seat aircraft—most notably in the form of the Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning. These incredible machines patrol the British skies and serve as a testament to the Royal Air Force’s ability to respond to aerial and other threats.
Since the early days of powered flight, aircraft and the fearless individuals who fly them have captured the imagination of the entire world. These are the most impressive machines ever built by humankind, and only a select few talented individuals have been able to pilot them. Of all the types of aircraft that have taken to the skies, single-seat fighters have been the most fascinating, and in Britain, the Supermarine Spitfire reigned supreme for years. The aircraft, which was considered the savior of the nation in its darkest hour and remained in service throughout World War II, is just as famous today as it was in August 1938, when the first unit arrived from the factory at the RAF base in Duxford.
Although the Spitfire Mark Vc variant was merely a transitional development stage of the famous British fighter—rushed into combat under time pressure to face the latest version of its greatest wartime adversary, the Messerschmitt Bf 109, it achieved such success that it ultimately became the most widespread variant of the Spitfire. The Spitfire Mk.V, the aircraft that enabled Fighter Command to go on the offensive, was operated by Allied squadrons around the world, and these squadrons helped forge the almost mythical reputation of this famous fighter.
A new chapter in the history of the British Royal Air Force is being written by the latest state-of-the-art single-seat multi-role aircraft currently patrolling British skies, the Lockheed Martin® F-35® Lightning, a highly advanced fifth-generation fighter jet that is described as a technological leap far ahead of anything else currently flying in the sky. Although the F-35 is only at the beginning of its service career, will it ultimately live up to the reputation of the legendary Spitfire?

Humbrol Acrylic Paint for Modelers
Instructions for Use: Water-mixable acrylic paint. Stir the paint well before use. Apply with a brush directly from the can. When using an airbrush, thin with a suitable thinner, such as water. Two thin coats are better than one thick coat. The usual mixing ratio is 2:1 in favor of the paint. Non-flammable base, dries quickly; 1–2 hours to dry completely, slightly longer for gloss and metallic finishes. Dilute with water if necessary. Using an unsuitable thinner may ruin the paint! Rinse brushes and tools with water immediately after use. Close the container tightly after use. Use as soon as possible after opening; the paint dries when exposed to air. Protect from freezing. Contains preservatives: 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one, 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3:1), and 2-phenoxyethanol.
Warning: Keep out of reach of children. Caution! Not suitable for children under 8 years of age. Children may use this product only under adult supervision.
Poly Cement ( 5 ml)
A solvent-based adhesive suitable exclusively for bonding models.
Instructions for Use: Use on common plastics used in model making, including polystyrene and ABS. Press the surfaces together with gentle pressure until they hold. The joint dries in 10–20 minutes and cures completely in 1 hour. Read and keep this label.
Warning! Flammable liquid and vapors. May cause drowsiness or dizziness. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid inhaling vapors. IF INHALED: Move the person to fresh air and keep them in a position that facilitates breathing. Store in a well-ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed.
Warning! Not suitable for children under 8 years of age. Children may use this product only under adult supervision.
