Italeri MiG-29A "Fulcrum" 1:72 is a plastic kit of the Mikoyan MiG-29, a twin-engine supersonic air-superiority fighter. The aircraft was designed in the 1970s to counter new American types such as the McDonnell Douglas F-15 and entered service with the Soviet Air Force in the early 1980s.

The real aircraft is powered by two Klimov RD-33 afterburning turbofan engines and can reach Mach 2.2. Its distinctive features include a flat, wide fuselage and twin vertical tail fins. Standard armament included a 30 mm gun in the port wing root as well as air-to-air missiles such as the AA-8 Aphid, AA-10 Alamo and AA-11 Archer.
