The Mirage 2000C aircraft
The Mirage 2000C entered service in the first part of the 1980s as a single-seat air superiority fighter. It kept the characteristic delta-wing layout of French combat aircraft, while introducing significant technical improvements over the previous generation. Powered by a SNECMA afterburning turbofan, it was capable of reaching Mach 2.2.
