Information about the original:
The Super Sabre was one of the first supersonic aircraft to enter service with the U.S. Air Force during the 1950s. Along with the single-seat version, a two-seat variant was also developed to facilitate the transition and training of pilots on this new aircraft. The F version was characterized by an extended fuselage that accommodated a second cockpit, though its basic design elements did not differ from the standard single-seat variant. During its operational career, this aircraft was used primarily in the 1960s during the Vietnam War. The two-seat version was used as an attack aircraft against anti-aircraft missile launch sites in North Vietnam.
