Italeri 1415 - F-15C Eagle (1:72)
Italeri 1415 - F-15C Eagle (1:72) covers the fighter version of the American aircraft developed from the 1970s for the United States Air Force. The F-15 family was created to gain and hold air superiority, and during the 1991 Gulf War it was among the aircraft used to control the airspace. The type also spread to other export users.
The F-15C variant
This version represents the single-seat all-weather fighter. The real aircraft is armed with the 20 mm M61 cannon and can carry air-to-air missiles. A pair of Pratt & Whitney F100 afterburning engines is one of the defining features of the type, with a stated maximum speed of Mach 2.5.
Kit contents and finishing
The 1:72 plastic kit builds to a length of 270 mm. Decals for 4 versions are included, together with full-colour instructions, so the chosen markings can be planned from the start. The kit is listed with difficulty level 3. Recommended Italeri paint references are 4752AP, 4768AP and 4769AP.
