Italeri 2816 Mirage III 1/48
Italeri Mirage III E 1/48 is a plastic kit of a multirole aircraft with the characteristic delta wing. Compared with the Mirage IIIC interceptor, it represents the version with a lengthened fuselage for expanded avionics. The kit includes decals for four versions and color instructions; the assembled model is 29 cm long.
Italeri Mirage III E in 1/48 scale captures the multirole branch of the French Mirage III family. While the original IIIC was developed as an interceptor fighter, the IIIE variant expanded the aircraft’s capabilities to include strike missions. The required avionics called for a lengthened fuselage. At the same time, the type retained its typical silhouette with a delta wing and the Snecma Atar engine with afterburner.
Kit No. 2816 includes decals for four versions and a color instruction sheet. No figure is included, which is worth keeping in mind if you plan a diorama or display setup.
The finished model has a length of 29 cm. The manufacturer classifies the kit as difficulty level 3. It works well as a standalone model in a jet aircraft collection or as the basis for an airfield scene with suitable ground equipment.
