The flat ASK lead wire has a cross-section of 0.3 × 1 mm and comes in 140 mm long strips. Soft lead is easy to shape and a bent strip holds its form, which is why lead wire is used in modelling as a material for small strap and belt details.

The packaging card names straps of backpacks, gear and weapons and also seat belts as the main uses. ASK also offers flat lead wire in other sizes, for example 0.2 × 1.0 mm (200-T0076) and 0.4 × 1.0 mm (200-T0078).
