Mr. Color (10 ml) IJN Type21 Camouflage Color

Mr. Hobby C604 IJN Type21 Camouflage Color (10 ml) is the key color for faithful replication of the legendary Japanese Imperial aircraftJapanese Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN), especially those that made their name at the beginning of World War II and in the Pacific.

✈️ Historical Context of the Shade

This shade is often identified as a camouflage paint that was standardly applied to the upper surfaces of aircraft, especiallyon the iconic Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero Model 21 (Zeke) fighter aircraft and other types of aircraft deployed from aircraft carriers prior to 1943.

• Color Characteristic: This is a darker, olive drab green color that was intended to camouflage the aircraft against the water surface and against the background of the ocean.

• Camouflage Type: Represents the upper part of the standard camouflage. The lower surfaces were usually painted a lighter gray or gray-white.
