Set contents
The set shows off the concentrated armament in the nose of the central nacelle that the Lightning was known for, and refines the superchargers housed in the booms – a typical feature of its silhouette. The P-38J carried a 20 mm cannon and four .50 calibre machine guns in the nose and differed from earlier versions in having its intercoolers relocated beneath the engines, which gave the front of the engine nacelles a deeper shape.
The base plastic kit is not included.
