The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk fighter was one of the basic types of the US Air Force at the beginning of World War II. Designed in the late 1930s, it was based on the P-36 design and was equipped with the more powerful Allison V-1710 engine. The aircraft was characterized by its ruggedness, good armament, and combat endurance, making it a reliable machine even in challenging conditions.

The P-40E version, introduced in 1941, carried six 12.7 mm machine guns and was one of the most widely used variants. It was deployed in North Africa, the Far East and the Pacific. However, it gained its greatest fame in the hands of the American volunteer Flying Tigers, who fought in China against the Japanese Air Force in the P-40E. The distinctive "shark's mouth" on the nose has become an iconic symbol of the Warhawk and is one of the most recognizable markers of World War II.

The Eduard 1/48th scale kit features a detailed P-40E design with accurate shapes, fine finish and attractive decals. The model allows you to build one of the most famous American fighters of the early phase of the war and commemorate its deployment in the diverse conditions of the world's battlefields.

The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
