Red Fox Studio 1/72 Asphalt Diorama Base – Finland is a 300 × 230 mm display base printed with dark asphalt. The SUOMEN ILMAVOIMAT lettering and a large roundel stand out on its surface. Only the base is supplied, without a model.
The SUOMEN ILMAVOIMAT lettering and a large roundel are reproduced on the dark asphalt. The marking looks faded and scuffed, as if painted directly onto the asphalt surface. The motif suits models of Finnish Air Force aircraft in particular.
The board is 5 mm extruded PVC, and the motif is a colour UV print with a three-dimensional effect. The surface is semi-gloss and, according to the manufacturer, resistant to UV light, paints and washes. The 300 × 230 mm size suits 1/72 scale, yet the base is not tied to any particular kit. No model is included in the package.
