Eduard RUFE DUAL COMBO 1/48 is a limited kit of two Japanese A6M2-N "Rufe" floatplane fighters from WWII, designedcontaining detailed plastic parts, colour etched accessories, masks and eight camouflage schemes. The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
The A6M2-N "Rufe" was a Japanese floatplane fighter aircraft developed by Nakajima based on the famous Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero deck fighter. The aircraft entered service in 1942 and served primarily with the Japanese Navy on remote islands in the Pacific where standard runways were not available. With a large central float and two auxiliary floats, it could operate from bodies of water and perform fighter, patrol and escort roles.
The Eduard RUFE DUAL COMBO kit in 1/48 scale (cat. no. 11171) offers the possibility to build two complete kits of this specific aircraft. Includes detailed plastic parts, color etched accessories, pre-cut masks and decals for eight camouflagefrom the Solomon Islands, the Aleutians, the Kuriles, Southeast Asia and Japan. The model is suitable for more experienced modelers interested in specific types of WWII naval aviation. The kit also includes surplus parts for other versions.
