Spitfire Mk.IIa 1/48
Eduard's 1/48th scale model of the Spitfire Mk.IIa represents one of the early versions of the legendary British fighter aircraft, mainly deployed during the Battle of Britain. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IIa was an improved version of the famous British Spitfire fighter aircraft, which entered service in 1940 and made a significant contribution to the defence of Britain during its most critical period. The Mk.IIa version was equipped with a higher-powered Merlin XII engine and an electric starter, which improved operational performance and allowed faster deployment into combat. The aircraft carried an armament of eight 7.7 mm Browning machine guns and its aerodynamic design contributed to its excellent manoeuvrability.
The Eduard 1/48 Spitfire Mk.IIa kit offers a highly detailed model with accurately executed panels, engravings and structural features. Included (depending on the edition) are photo-etched accessories, masks for ease of painting and high quality decals with a choice of several RAF historical markings. The model is designed for intermediate and experienced modellers looking for a realistic representation of the iconic WWII machine.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
