Tamiya 28501 1/35 Fukuiraptor
Fukuiraptor in 1:35, 118 mm long. Tamiya Clic Loc snap-fit kit with display base, human scale silhouettes and a colour information leaflet.
Tamiya 28501 in the Clic Loc range depicts Fukuiraptor kitadaniensis, a carnivorous dinosaur discovered in Japan’s Fukui Prefecture. It lived around 120 million years ago in the Early Cretaceous. The 1:35 model is 118 mm long and features a long tail, muscular hind legs, prominent claws and an open mouth with teeth.
Its shape and skin texture are based on a reconstruction developed with palaeontological expertise. A slide-moulded head captures fine detail. Parts come on one sprue and snap together after removal, so cement is not needed for basic assembly.
A display base, human silhouettes for scale and a colour information leaflet about Fukui dinosaurs are included. The silhouettes are not complete human figures. The kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted; photographs show a finished example. Fossils do not establish Fukuiraptor’s actual colours, leaving the colour scheme open to interpretation.
