Tamiya 28502 1/35 Fukuisaurus
Fukuisaurus in 1:35, 134 mm long. Glue-free kit with base, human scale silhouettes, information leaflet and paper scenery to colour.
Tamiya 28502 depicts the herbivorous Fukuisaurus tetoriensis in 1:35. Known from Japan’s Fukui region, it lived around 120 million years ago in the Early Cretaceous. The finished model measures 134 mm, with a beak-like mouth, substantial body, skin folds and long tail.
As part of the Clic Loc range, its green plastic parts snap together without cement after removal from the sprue. Part divisions follow body lines, the tail is moulded in one piece, and the reconstruction was developed under palaeontological supervision. It also offers an approachable introduction to model assembly.
The box includes a terrain-textured base, human scale silhouettes, a colour information leaflet and a paper sheet of vegetation and scenery to colour and use as a backdrop. This is an unpainted kit; presentation photographs show a finished example. The living animal’s colours are not known from fossils, so any paint scheme is an interpretation.
