Tamiya 35315 1/35 Jerry Can Set (Early)
Tamiya 35315 is a 1/35 scale plastic kit of twelve early-type German jerry cans. Shell crates, a jack, a Notek light and a convoy marker complete the set.
German army jerry cans were a highly functional design. Early types were reinforced with simple cross-shaped indentations, while later types had a more complex pattern. Early cans accompanied units from the Polish campaign through North Africa to the opening of the Russian campaign, and some remained in use into the second half of the war.
Set 35315 from Tamiya's 1/35 Military Miniature series contains twelve early-type cans with accurately reproduced cross indentations and the „Kraftstoff 20L“ marking. It also includes shell crates, a jack, a Notek blackout light and a convoy marker. Tamiya lists it as stowage for early-war German vehicles such as the Krupp Protze 6x4 truck.
The small parts reward careful painting and weathering, bringing both vehicle stowage and diorama scenes to life. Paints and glues required for assembly are not included.
