Tamiya 70262 contains 4 hollow polystyrene tubes with an external square section of 5 × 5 mm. They provide material for custom frames, supports, architectural models and kit modifications; these are tubes rather than solid square rods.

The range is designed to telescope: 3 mm tubes fit into 5 mm tubes, and 5 mm tubes into 8 mm tubes. They can be combined with Tamiya plastic sheet and other profiles. The polystyrene surface can be painted for a finished model.
