Tamiya X-20 Enamel Thinner (10 ml) is a thinner designed exclusively for Tamiya Color Enamel paints. It adjusts their viscosity for application by brush or airbrush and can also be used to remove enamel paint and clean modeling tools.
How to Use X-20
- Thinning: Add in small amounts and check the consistency regularly.
- Airbrushing: The manufacturer recommends a starting ratio of approximately 2 parts thinner to 10 parts enamel paint; adjust the ratio according to the nozzle, pressure, and desired coverage.
- Wiping and Effects: A small amount on a clean brush or swab allows you to correct enamel paint and create enamel effects.
- Cleaning: Clean brushes and tools before the paint dries on them.
Not intended for use with Tamiya X/XF acrylic paints or LP lacquer paints. For these systems, use the appropriate X-20A Acrylic Thinner or Lacquer Thinner.
