Tyranids: Venomthropes

Venomthropes are amongst the most terrifying creatures in the Tyranid swarm, whose primary role is to protect the units around them. These monsters emit thick clouds of toxic spores that envelop the advancing Tyranid wave, making it difficult for enemies to target or attack. Thanks to their tentacles coated in deadly toxins, they pose a threat even in close combat; however, their true value lies in the protective role they fulfil for the Synaptic Beings and other combat organisms of the Swarm. On the battlefield, they thus become a key support unit, enhancing the resilience of the entire army.

This versatile set offers players a choice of build options. From 80 plastic components, you can assemble a trio of Venomthrops, or opt for an alternative variant comprising one Neurothrop and two Zoanthropes — psionic creatures who wield devastating mental abilities and strengthen the Swarm’s synaptic network. This flexibility makes the set a valuable addition to any Tyranid army, as it allows you to tailor your unit composition to your chosen game strategy.

The models are designed on a 1:56 scale, which is the standard for Warhammer 40,000, and offer a wealth of opportunities for detailed painting — from organic surfaces and tentacles to the distinctive biological structures characteristic of the Tyranid aesthetic. The set comes with 3 round Citadel bases, each 40 mm in diameter. The models are supplied unpainted and require assembly. The pack does not contain paints or glue.
