Introducing Vallejo Diorama FX Alkaline White (26.301) - our exclusive, pre-coloured granulate in 0.5-1 mm grain size. These mineral crystals form the chalky white essence of saline and calcareous soils. They are amazing, but they have one flaw: they need to stick! For a firm anchor and a realistic matte finish, we highly recommend using a fixing medium (such as Vallejo Terrain Fixer). Ideal for delicate but unforgiving desert scenery. 48 g pack.
Vallejo Diorama FX 26301 Alkaline White Landscape Texture 0.5–1 mm (35 ml) is a pre-colored mineral granulate from the Vallejo Diorama FX line, available in an alkaline white mineral granulate with a grain size of 0.5–1 mm. It is used for quickly creating sand, gravel, crushed rock, sci-fi bases, fantasy terrain, and wargaming bases.
Pour the granules into the desired shape, adjust with a brush or tweezers, and then set with Terrain Fixer. Once dry, the surface can be evened out with a wash, lightened with drybrushing, or accented with pigments.

When using Diorama FX effect products, it’s best to work in layers: first prepare the base, then create the main texture, and finally add local shadows, pigments, drybrushing, or glossy/wet effects. This way, the texture will blend naturally with the rest of the model and won’t look like a separate layer applied to the surface.
