Vallejo Diorama FX 26305 Mars Red 1-2 mm (35ml)

Vallejo Diorama FX Mars Red (26.305) is a dry, pre-coloured mineral granulate with a coarse fraction of 1-2 mm. It is not a dust, but a carefully calibrated grit in a deep rusty red colour, which is characteristic of iron oxide-rich soils - from the broken roads of Tuscany to the dusty, rocky valleys of Mars.

This grain is ideal for rendering stony paths, rubble fields and eroded rocks. It will add instant visual depth and weight to your diorama. The contrast with dark or khaki techniques is simply amazing. Your tank or figure will now look like it had to fight its way through an unadulterated red wilderness!

Operating information for the model engineer: Because it is a loose granular material, this material is inherently unstable. In order to make it a solid and durable terrain, it is crucial to use a fixing medium. Simply pour in, shape the terrain and then saturate with Vallejo Terrain Fixer (or comparable capillary medium). The fixer will perfectly set all stones with a matte finish that is ready for further patination and weathering techniques. Without fixer, this red beauty will spill!
