Vallejo Publications PAWA-010EN Painting War Wild West (English edition) belongs to the Painting War series, subtitled “Bringing your warmodels to life”, and is marked Season II, Issue 10. The figures were painted by José Antonio Bustamante. The opening Painting Guide chapter covers figure preparation, tools and general painting principles. It is followed by pages devoted to individual characters such as a sheriff or an outlaw, as well as animals including cows and a pig, each with colour recipes using Vallejo codes, Painting Tip boxes and historical “Did you know that…” notes.
The publication is aimed at painters of historical and wargaming figures with an interest in the Wild West. The colour charts for the individual figures make it easier to choose shades; the author notes that most of the paints used come from the Vallejo Model Color range. ISBN 9788409224708.
