The round beams of Tamiya 70132 from the Educational Construction Series (Craft) measure 2 mm in diameter. The polystyrene is water-resistant, and because it bends, the rods can also be formed into curves.

The rods are useful for scratchbuilding, dioramas and model conversions. Tamiya lists them as suitable for use with plastic model cement and Tamiya plastic plates.
