1/35 MK-45 Mod.2 (5-inch/54-caliber) Gun
I Love Kit 1/35 MK-45 Mod.2 (5-inch/54-caliber) Gun is a plastic kit of the American 127 mm naval gun. Fifteen parts make up the mount with its rounded shield on a base. Paints and glue are not included.
The 5-inch (127 mm) Mk 45 is part of the gun armament of American cruisers and destroyers. The Mod.2 has a 54-calibre barrel and a rounded gun shield, which makes it easy to tell apart from the later Mod.4 with its longer barrel and angular shield.
The manufacturer lists 15 parts, and the assembled model is about 27 cm long. The mount sits on a base so it can be displayed on its own, and a decal with the letter "E" is included. In 1/35 the gun can easily be paired with crew figures or serve as the centrepiece of a small naval diorama. Paints and glue are not included.
Nationality: USA. Period: Cold War, Present day.
