1/35 U.S.Medium Tank M4A3 (76)W
Meng 1/35 U.S. Medium Tank M4A3 (76)W is a 1/35th scale plastic model construction kit of the American medium tank. This version of the famous Sherman was equipped with a more powerful 76mm gun and wet ammunition storage, which greatly increased its combat value during World War II.
The M4 Sherman tank was the backbone of the American armored forces in World War II. The M4A3 (76)W variant appeared in 1944 in response to the growing threat of heavily armored German tanks, particularly the Panther and Tiger. The new 76mm gun gave the Shermans better penetration and increased their chances in direct engagements. The "W" designation stood for wet stowage, which greatly reduced the risk of explosion when hit.
The M4A3 (76)W was deployed primarily during the final phase of the war in Europe and became one of the most widely used and effective versions of the Sherman. With its reliability, ease of maintenance and solid armament, it was able to effectively support Allied infantry while standing up to armored engagements. After the war, it served for many years in the armies of many countries around the world.
The 1/35th scale Meng kit offers a detailed treatment of this iconic machine, including a realistically rendered hull, undercarriage and distinctive turret with 76mm gun. It is ideal for modelers who want to build one of the most important variants of the Sherman.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
