AK Acrylics 3GEN Aircraft Series Rlm 78 (1942) (17 ml)
AK Interactive 3GEN Aircraft Series AK11831 RLM 78 (1942) is an acrylic in the later variant of light blue RLM 78. According to the manufacturer, this version replaced the original 1941 tone on Luftwaffe aircraft in the Mediterranean in 1942.
The paint comes from the Aircraft Series, the aviation branch of AK Interactive's 3GEN acrylics. The manufacturer highlights high pigmentation, coverage and resistance, plus a coloured cap that makes the shade quick to recognise.
According to AK Interactive, the AK11719 WWII Luftwaffe Tropical Colors set contains the six camouflage colours most commonly used on Luftwaffe aircraft in the Mediterranean theatre. Besides both versions of RLM 78 and RLM 79, it contains RLM 80 and RLM 83. The manufacturer also mentions that several Bf 109 fighters factory-painted in tropical colours were delivered to units on the Eastern Front.
