1/32 Morane-Saulnier MS-406C.1 HI-TECH
Special Hobby 1/32 Morane-Saulnier MS-406C.1 Hi-Tech is a detailed model of the main fighter of the French Air Force from the beginning of WWII. The MS-406 was the most heavily deployed French fighter during the Battle of France, known for its agility and distinctive design. The Hi-Tech edition offers precise shapes, fine paneling and enhanced resin and etched details.
The Morane-Saulnier MS-406C.1 was one of the most important fighter aircraft of the Armée de l'Air on the threshold of the Second World War. The type entered service in the late 1930s as a modern monoplane with a covered cockpit, retractable landing gear and gun armament. Although the MS-406 proved slower and less well armed than its German opponents in 1940, it played a key role in the Battle of France and was deployed in hundreds of units. After its fall, it continued in service with the Vichy Air Force and abroad, for example in Switzerland and Finland, where its own modernized versions were produced.
The Special Hobby 1/32 kit in the Hi-Tech edition captures the distinctive features of the MS-406C.1, with emphasis on the details of the cockpit, engine, undercarriage shafts and surface structure of the fuselage and wings. Hi-Tech equipment expands the standard plastic parts to include resin components, photo-etched parts and more to increase the level of realism and allow a very faithful replica of a 1940 French fighter to be built. The large scale provides scope for accurate reproduction of the interior, armament and subtle structural elements of this important pre-war type.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
