1/32 OV-10D Bronco
The 1/32 scale OV-10D Bronco is a two-seat turboprop aircraft designed for reconnaissance, light attack and forward airborne guidance missions. This modernized variant was used primarily by the United States Marine Corps and in other armed conflicts in the late 20th century. The kit includes detailed plastic parts to assemble the aircraft, including a realistic cockpit, landing gear and armament. The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
The North American Rockwell OV-10 Bronco was designed as a multirole light combat aircraft with high maneuverability and the ability to operate from short takeoff and landing areas. Due to its rugged design, strong construction and wide range of potential uses, the OV-10 was usedused in both Forward Air Control (FAC) and direct air support roles.
The OV-10D Bronco version was significantly upgraded to meet the needs of the United States Marine Corps (USMC). This variant received more powerful Garrett T76-G-420/421 turboprop engines, improved avionics, and a FLIR infrared sensor for night operations. It was also equipped with pylons to hang a wide range of armament including AGM-114 Hellfire cruise missiles, Hydra 70 unguided missiles and underhung gun containers.
