1/35 1/4 ton Utility Truck w/ Canvas Top - Takom
Takom 2214 1/4 ton Utility Truck w/ Canvas Top 1/35 is a plastic kit of the American jeep with a canvas top. It includes photo-etch, a driver figure and four marking options. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
The quarter-ton 4×4 utility truck, known as the jeep, was the principal light vehicle of the US Army in the Second World War. Built in hundreds of thousands, it served on every front for reconnaissance, liaison, carrying commanders and as a military police vehicle.
The Takom kit in 1/35 scale depicts the vehicle with its canvas top raised. According to the box it contains photo-etched and clear parts, a driver figure and markings in four variants; the box art shows a military police vehicle.
The 1/35 scale matches the wide range of military vehicles and figures, so the jeep works as a stand-alone display model as well as a companion piece in a diorama with a tank or infantry. The canvas top offers plenty of scope for colour variation and subtle weathering.
Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
