ASK drew up these masks itself, working directly from the parts of the Academy AH-1W SuperCobra kit in 1/35 scale. Sheet ASK 200-M35022 from the SCALE MASK range contains masks 3–21. Most are angled strips that follow the edges of the canopy panels along the frames, complemented by the small rectangular masks 20 and 21. The one-sided version is intended for the outer side of the glazing; the version with masks for the inner side too is 200-M35021.

The Marine Corps wanted twin engines on its Cobras for safety over water. The T700-powered AH-1W SuperCobra entered USMC service in 1986 and was later replaced by the AH-1Z Viper. The masks are shaped for the Academy kit in 1/35 scale.
