1/35 British RR Armored Car Pattern 1914/1920
Meng 1/35 British RR Armored Car Pattern 1914/1920 is a 1/35th scale plastic model construction kit of a British armored car. This car, based on the Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost chassis, was deployed during World War I and remained in service in the interwar period.
The British Rolls-Royce Pattern 1914 armoured car was created at the beginning of the First World War, when it was necessary to quickly develop a mobile fighting vehicle suitable for reconnaissance and infantry support. The basis was the chassis of the reliable Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, which was fitted with an armoured superstructure and a turret with a Vickers machine gun. It stood out for its reliability, good mobility on paved roads and solid crew protection.
The first version of the Pattern 1914 was successfully deployed on the Western Front, in the colonies and in the Middle East. The war was followed by the upgraded Pattern 1920, which featured reinforced armour, body modifications and improved operational characteristics. These vehicles remained in service with British and Allied forces throughout the inter-war period and some saw service in the early stages of the Second World War.
Meng's 1/35th scale kit allows you to build a model of this iconic armoured car in Pattern 1914 or the upgraded Pattern 1920 version. Offering detailed detailing of the body, turret and chassis, it is an attractive piece for anyone interested in military technology of the first half of the 20th century.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
