1/35 FINNISH AND SOVIET PILOTS w/ACCESSORIES

The Winter War (1939-1940) and the Continuation War (1941-1944) brought intensive deployment of both Finnish and Soviet air forces, which in the extreme Nordic conditions, dealing with freezing temperatures, makeshift airfields and the constant need for quick repairs. Pilots from both sides wore markedly different uniforms and equipment - Finnish pilots often combined home-made gear with capturedparts, while Soviet pilots used typical leather jackets, fur hoods or standardized flight suits. These differences add character and unique visual contrast to the period scenes.

The MiniArt 1/48 set features detailed figures of both Finnish and Soviet pilots, complemented by ground staff figures and a wide range of accessories. Barrels, tools, ladders and small service equipment allow for a believable environment of smaller airfields, improvised areas on lakes and winter front bases. Each figure is sculpted with attention to realistic posture, folds of cloth and correct proportions, allowing for convincing representations of service work and resting moments for pilots.
