CMK 1/35 Hetzer Mid + Late 'Saukopf' Mantlet Correction (Long Type)/for Academy kits is a 3D printed add-on for Academy 1:35 scale Hetzer tank fighter kits. It includes a precision shaped 'Saukopf' (pig head) cannon shield in the long version to replace an inaccurate part from the original Academy kit. Suitable for building mid and late production versions of the Hetzer. Package does not include paint or adhesives needed for installation.
Hetzer Mid + Late ‘Saukopf’ Mantlet Correction (Long Type)/ for Academy kits is a 3D-printed resin conversion kit in 1/35 scale from CMK.
The Hetzer tank destroyer was equipped with a gun mantlet known as the “pig’s head.” This mantlet underwent modifications during production; its shape changed, and it was produced in several variants. Academy did not quite capture the correct shape of the mantlet in its Hetzer kit. We have therefore created 3D-printed mantlets with the correct shape. This set features the so-called “long type” mantlet.
This is an add-on set; the plastic kit, paints, and glue are not included unless explicitly stated by the manufacturer.
Recommended Use
- Before assembly, degrease, clean, and dry-fit the part
- Use an adhesive suitable for resin
- We recommend applying a primer before painting
- Model paints, brushes, or an airbrush are suitable for finishing
