Trumpeter 1/35 KV-5 represents the Soviet Object 225 project of 1941. The design called for a 107 mm ZiS-6 gun in a large main turret and a machine gun in a smaller turret. Development ended before a prototype was built, so the model depicts a proposed vehicle rather than a tank that saw combat.
The tracks combine longer sections with individual links. Release 05552 provides over 280 parts on 13 sprues, separate hull and turret components, and photo-etched parts. The lower hull uses a multi-part slide mould. Its distinctive turret arrangement makes the KV-5 a subject for a collection of unrealised designs; any combat setting would be deliberately hypothetical. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
Nationality: USSR. Period: World War II.
