1/35 MK-45 Mod.4 (5-inch/62-caliber) Gun
I Love Kit 1/35 MK-45 Mod.4 (5-inch/62-caliber) Gun is a plastic kit of the American 127 mm naval gun. The 17-part kit depicts the gun mount as a stand-alone piece on a base. Paints and glue are not included.
The 5-inch (127 mm) Mk 45 is part of the gun armament of American cruisers and destroyers. The Mod.4 version has a longer 62-calibre barrel and an angular, flat-sided gun shield that clearly sets it apart from earlier mounts with a rounded shield. It was fitted to later Arleigh Burke class destroyers.
According to the manufacturer the kit has 17 parts and the assembled model is about 30 cm long. A base turns the mount into a stand-alone display piece, and a decal with the name "Lucky Lucy" is included. In 1/35 the mount can be shown next to figures or used as a striking element of a naval diorama. Paints and glue are not included.
